This fiery comedian is best known for joking about other people, and when it comes to sex education and equal rights, she doesn't back down.
In 2009, Kathy Griffin hosted the amfAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research) Awards, and this past March she received the Ally for Equality Award at the Human Rights Campaign Dinner and Awards for promoting LGBT civil rights. Most recently, Kathy televised her poolside pap smear as part of her Smear Campaign. She hopes to raise awareness about cervical cancer and the importance of women getting annual pap smears.
But that's not all! The comedienne is also a big supporter of our troops, and back in 2006 she even made a visit to those serving in Iraq.
Is Kathy's boldness enough to win Do Something Comedian over Stephen Colbert, Ben Stiller, Ellen Degeneres, and Eddie Izzard? You decide!
