Stars swing for cancer research

Some of our fave actors hit the links in L.A. yesterday for the Callaway Golf Foundation Challenge.

Mark Wahlberg, Don Cheadle, Josh Kelley, Bruce Jenner (yup, Brody’s Olympian dad) and Halle Berry’s man Gabriel Aubry putted their way towards a cure – the golf challenge benefited the Entertainment Industry Foundation cancer research program. EIF is the same group that organized the star-studded Stand Up to Cancer Event last year and the annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Good to know that movie stars are doing their part to get us all closer to a cure for cancer.

In between rounds, a few stars managed to dish some scoop too. Gabriel Aubry told People mag that Nahla, his new baby with Halle Berry “needs a sibling,” and added “I think it’s important…I believe in big families.”

And Marky Mark hinted at an upcoming wedding, telling reporters when he marries longtime love, Rhea Durham, “it will definitely be in a Catholic church” and may just be a low-key ceremony in L.A., with “just us and the kids.”

It’s nice to hear these stars take a minute to talk about family life, but even nicer to hear them taking a day to support cancer research.

So don’t just sit their – follow in their footsteps (and golf swings) and learn more about how you can take a stand against cancer.
