"His story, first of all, needs to be told," said Bradley Cooper, "And it's also relevant on two fronts. One, gun control, and two, the needs to address this – the many soldiers that are coming back with post-traumatic stress disorder."
After learning of the murder of former navy seal and most lethal sniper in U.S. history, Chris Kyle, by the hand of a fellow vet suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, Cooper insisted on speeding up production of the film project where he will play Kyle. The film-in-the-works, "American Sniper," was first intended to share the biography of Chris Kyle, but now will bring attention to the issues of gun control and post-traumatic stress disorder among veterans.
