Last month, Prince Harry spent the night in a freezer at -31 Fahrenheit temperatures. Yes, you read that right. There was a reason behind this (seeming) madness. He was preparing for an expedition to the South Pole in November to support the UK-based charity: “Walking With the Wounded.”
In the “South Pole Allied Challenge Expedition 2013,” Prince Harry will walk 200 miles in 15 days along with a team conformed by Captain Ibrar Ali, Major Kate Philip, and two more veterans who have been injured during wartime.
As team UK, they will be racing with team Commonwealth and team US. Their main purpose: to raise money for “Walking with the Wounded,” and support their cause of inspiring men and women who have been injured during conflict by providing them with educational and health services.
The member of the English royalty, along with his teammates, had the chance to try the clothing they will wear and be exposed to the wind speeds they’ll be confronted with: 45 miles per hour.
