What You Did
This campaign is over! In case you missed it, here’s what happened.
11.1 million tons of recyclable fabric and textiles end up in landfills every year, even though the vast majority of this can be recycled. Instead of trashing old clothes, you gave them a second life by recycling them, saving water, energy, and landfill space.
We're counting up how much clothing you all collected... stay tuned!
SydneyMost fun scholarship opportunity with H&M for Dosomething.org! Helping the earth one piece of clothing at a time!
RebeccaOver 660 clothing donations for my first drop off at H&M!
Joshua#CaptainPlanet saves the day! 710 articles of clothing.
Victoria Justice: Clothing Recycler Extraordinaire!
The superstar actress tells us why recycling clothing is so important...once she grabs herself a slice of 'za.
Brooke recycled a whopping 1,000 items of clothing and won a $10,000 scholarship for college. Way to go! Here's what she had to say:
"Participating in Comeback Clothes is always important to me because it allows me to get my community together for a cause. I love that this campaign, like all DoSomething campaigns, inspires people to take a small action in order to create a big impact. Comeback Clothes educates us on a major environmental problem our world has and reminds us to be conscious when cleaning out our closets. After a clothing drive ends, people still message me and ask if I can still pick up clothes from them. This allows me to spread the word about different places they can take their clothes to keep them OUT of the landfill!"
