5,400 Schools Greened

This campaign is over! In case you missed it, here’s what happened.

Students tackled projects to recycle, save energy, and otherwise greenify their schools. Then all the projects were judged by a panel of experts and celebs.

Thanks to all the lean, mean green machines, especially schools like Bentley University, which implemented single stream recycling on campus, promoted organic eating, and installed dual-handled toilets to save water!

Golden Valley High School

Grant Winner

Judged on their project's creativity, effort to create long-term behavior change, and effort to involve the entire school, Golden Valley High School won the $5,000 grant! Here's what they said:

"The students held a two-week long recycling war between the different classes to see who could recycle the most. Their project was sponsored by the student government and administration. They were also successful in getting their school to install solar panels and motion sensor lights to save energy and money."
