Mic Check Racism is over! In case you missed it, here's what happened.

On June 17, 2015, a white man killed 9 black people in a hate crime in Charleston, SC. Over 26,000 of our members shared their thoughts with us. They felt disgusted. Frustrated. Heartbroken. Black lives matter. Your voice matters. You all shared your feelings about the events in Charleston through a virtual poetry slam to open a dialogue about race relations in America, and help reduce prejudice.

Check out these members who shared powerful responses.

"The Mic Check Racism Campaign is important to me, because racism impacts people of ALL races. I am striving to make this world a better place for all of us human beings, and that can not happen until we can learn to love and live in equality. So hopefully, by participating in this campaign, I was able to open some people's eyes towards the damaging effects of racism, and teach them a valuable lesson!"
