Since their first mediation in 1996, CMP has grown to a staff of 19. CMP also multiplies the impact of the community mediation movement by mobilizing volunteer community mediators, over 250 of whom are currently active. Although Lorig left CMP in 2005, the organization continues to resolve community conflicts and an award was created in her name to honor prolific CMP volunteers.

Lorig Charkoudian established and directed the Community Mediation Program which provides free mediation and teaches conflict resolution skills in neighborhoods, families, schools, and businesses all across Baltimore.
