Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has joined celebs like Hilary Duff, Ciara, and Jenny McCarthy, to make a PSA for Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month. While many prevention ads encourage contraception, the famous teen mom says she chose the Candies Foundation campaign because the ad’s slogan "Pause Before You Play" also includes abstinence.
“I think ‘Pause Before You Play’ hits a wider range of different messages. It could be pause and go get a condom. It could be pause and think about your life. Or it could even be pause and wait until marriage,” Palin told ABC news.
Teen pregnancy was down 2% in 2009, but an estimated 750,000 girls still became pregnant. Do you think this PSA’s approach will be more effective in prevention? Bristol Palin’s PSA hits television in May, but you can watch it online now .
