Amelia's Socks for the Homeless

Official Dosomething.org Project

The Problem

When she was nine, Amelia saw homeless people waiting in line at a soup kitchen and noticed they had no socks. So she started a not-for-profit to collect new socks and give them to the homeless. Amelia has distributed over 10,000 socks to fifteen shelters and directly to homeless people on the street. She expanded the program to include diapers for homeless babies and towels for shelters.
