Jefferson State Music Festival

Official Project

The Problem

The Jefferson State Music Festival raised over 400 pounds of food last year as just a free music festival asking people to bring food for the price of admission. This is going to be the fifth year and we would like to get it non-profit status to increase the productivity and grant funding in the future. It costs about $500 dollars to get non-profit status. Please help us get this project off the ground. We work with the Josephine county food bank. According to the Central Oregon Hunger Coalition, Oregon has one of the highest hunger rates in the nation, higher than some states with twice its population. More than 13,000 people received food baskets just last year, with nearly 5,000 (or nearly 40%) being children in need.
