Preble Street Second Anual Clothing Drive

The Problem

The community of Portland, Maine like many communities is struggling with the economy and this has left lots of people on the streets homeless. Winter time is the hardest time of year because of the harsh weathers in Maine and the people who literally live on the streets.

Plan of Action

The first step is to contact Preble street and set up a date for the drive so that they can be there when we arive with the clothes. Then I have to sent out mass e-mails to Catherine McAuley students, staff and alumni stateing my cause and then I need to advertise around Portland. Once I have done this I need to get the materials ready for the drive like transportation and storage and find volunteers. After we have collected the clothes we need to thn unload them at Preble Street.
