Project Warm-Up

The Problem

In Sioux Falls, South Dakota there are approximately 700 homeless children, grades K-12. With Project Warm-Up, we would like to help keep these children warm in the cold South Dakota winters.

Plan of Action

I organized this project two years ago to help the homeless children in my community. I asked for help from my high school as well as the central planning center for the school district. I secured a location for the event to take place and then took on the task of gathering donations, either monetary or fabric donations. Then I posted flyers to gather volunteers from the community, and many people volunteered to provide food for the all day event.
