Schools for Schools Fundraising

The Problem

We are working to raise money for Anaka Secondary School in Uganda. This school, along with many others, has been affected by Joseph Kony's war of madness, and we are trying to help provide resources and education so that future generations can build a better, more peaceful community.

Plan of Action

We are starting small. We've been hosting viewings of the Invisible Children Rough Cut to get the story out. Then we started a competition to see which class could raise the most money for Anaka. We spoke at an all school assembly, and we made a mural for the people who were killed in the 2008 and 2009 LRA Christmas Massacres. We will continue to sell t-shirts, beads, and bracelets to raise money, and hopefully later in the year, we will hold a rally to let our community know that we are not going to let these children, these people in Uganda, remain invisible.
