The Problem

Domestic Violence occurs a lot more than people want to think. T.E.A.R stands for Teens Ending Abusive Relationships. Our goal is to bring awareness to our classmates and friends about the real struggles of domestic violence, the signs, and how to deal with it.

Plan of Action

Our first step is building clubs in each of the four high schools in our town to bring in more teens. In those clubs we will discuss the signs of domestic violence and how it can be physical AND emotional. We will come up with ideas on how to react to situations of domestic violence and discuss why woman or men stay in those abusive relationships. We will host rallies to reach out to those who aren't in the club, fund raise to help the women's shelter that houses victims of domestic violence. We also have an annual Mud-Run to get people from the town to come out and participate.
