University of the District of Columbia on-campus farm

The Problem

We are trying to the solve the problem of access to affordable, local produce, while also promoting healthy living, localized sustainability, and reconnecting with nature.

Plan of Action

To claim green space on the university's campus and begin to grow food there. We'd like for students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community participate. With the food we grow, we'd like to sell it at the university's weekly farmers market, and/or start a community supported agriculture (CSA) for folks interested.
