The Problem

There are approximately 1.3 million homeless kids in the United States. 20% of those kids do not attend school while 57% do not attend school regularly. 40% of homeless youth have repeated a grade at least once. The majority of homeless kids have below average school performance in comparison to kids living in stable homes, including low test scores and poor attendance.

Plan of Action

Within our non-profit organization, we want to help homeless youth meet and exceed grade level requirements. We offer individual tutoring to help them stay in school and improve academic performance. We also provide resources to aid in education and graduation. Our goal is to help kids stay in school, graduate and live a life of independence.
