For all of our long time readers, you will definitely recognize this winter time activity that our staff participates in.
Monday night, members of our team (along with some friendly supporters!) hit the streets of NYC to participate in the HOPE 2011 NYC Street Survey. HOPE (Homeless Outreach Population Estimate) gathered thousands of volunteers to canvass parks, subways, and other public spaces to count the number of people living unsheltered in the city. The vital information collected is used by outreach teams to help homeless people leave the streets for a better life.
