Last week, our campaign intern Ramil (and professional whistler-in-the-making… stay tuned for a video!) was awarded a President’s Service Award at NYU for his work in the university’s Alternative Breaks program.
Alternative Breaks is a service-learning program that sends students across the country (and world!) to complete community service projects and learn about social justice issues. This year, Ramil played a pivotal role in organizing and leading students in the program with pre-trip fundraisers, along with coordinating details of their trip to Alabama to work with Habitat for Humanity.
Ramil is one of 100 people out of the 40,000 students at NYU who received this prestigious award. Congratulations, R! We are so proud of you!
The whole Ibrahim clan came into town to support.
The ecstatic scholar with his adorable grandma!
