This campaign is closed! Here's what happened.

Abuse and misuse of prescription pain medication has reached epidemic levels in the US. In fact, 44% of people personally know someone who has been addicted to pain meds. In many situations, you know how to help a friend in need. For example, if someone gets a cut, you know to give them a band-aid. Lots of people have friends who are misusing or abusing pain meds, but have no idea how to help.

But that's why 69,114 of you joined us and The CVS Health Foundation to educate people about this issue. You shared with your friends simple, effective, and practical ways to help people who are abusing and misusing prescription pain meds. That simple act of sharing that information could literally save lives. Thank you so much for being a part of this. This is a hard subject to talk about and you made it a little bit simpler to help those you care about learn how to help people who are suffering from addiction.

Sincerely, thank you.

"It is important to raise awareness about the dangers of using prescription drugs for recreation because it is becoming increasingly common. It is important that we act now before more people become addicted to prescription drugs. "
