This is a proposal to start a cooking club that teaches healthy eating and the cooking of healthy recipes to its particitpants. The club would meet weekly and be assigned a new healthy recipe each meeting. During the duration, each member would attempt to make the recipe, bringing it home to their family(or just home with them)to enjoy at the end of the meeting. Upon disclosure of the recipe, its nutritional value and its place in the daily diet would be discussed as well as its culinary attributes. The members would do their cooking all in the same room with apptly equiped facilities. This would expose the members to the positive expirience of cooking one's own food as well as positively reinforce time in the kitchen cooking with a social expirience. In other words, making cooking seem "fun" to those who wouldn't normally find it so.
