Kids' Aid Society

The Problem

The Kids' Aid Society collects funds throughout the entire year to have a readily available source of capital for donations to a variety of global emergency situations, ranging from providing funds for students in developing countries to afford school supplies, to sponsoring children across the world, to donating large sums of money to the victims of natural disasters the moment they strike, and any other urgent global situation. The Kids' Aid Society sponsors the education of 52 children overseas at a cost of $60 per child per year. Additionally, KAS donated $1,000 last year to the homeless children of Central Florida through the Families in Transition program. Furthermore, KAS conducts a year-long drive of empty ink cartridges and used cell phones to recycle them through the Phoneraiser fundraiser. Through helping kids both locally and globally, we are also spreading global awareness amongst ourselves.
